When I first envisioned audiobooks as a feature for BRAE, I thought of those unforgettable audiobooks that drew me in, enhancing my reading and listening experience, with voices that made me smile—and sometimes blush! I was inspired by the current leaders in our community who’ve made audiobooks a vital platform for authors giving us instant access to talented Black narrators and the diverse characters they bring to life. I wanted to bring that same excitement to BRAE, and I’m thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of friends, we have a small but powerful showcase of audiobooks in this year’s celebration!
